HDMI, LLC Selects Authentic Vision as Global Solution Provider for Consumer Engagement,
Including Product Authentication and License Compliance
Salzburg, Austria and Sunnyvale, California (October 5, 2015) – HDMI Licensing, LLC, has selected Authentic Vision as a global solution partner for its Premium HDMI Cable Certification Program, announced today. HDMI® connectivity is included in over 4 billion consumer electronics devices and includes more than 1600 Adopters worldwide.
The Premium HDMI Cable Certification Program encompasses additional and enhanced HDMI cable testing as well as a comprehensive anti-counterfeiting label system. For the anti-counterfeiting program, HDMI Licensing, LLC required a comprehensive global solution, which benefits the entire HDMI ecosystem—HDMI Adopters, retailers, and consumers. Adding Authentic Vision’s highly secure and easy to implement solution to Premium High Speed HDMI Cables and Premium High Speed HDMI Cables with Ethernet not only enables consumers to authenticate their purchase but also gives HDMI Adopters the opportunity to engage and communicate directly with their customers via a mobile app-based authentication process.
Authentic Vision’s solution is based on a highly secure, un-reproducible label combining randomized holograms with encrypted QR codes, which can easily be read with a smart phone app.
