… security management to launch Authentic Vision in 2012.

True to his original vision, the company works to develop innovative new technology and systems to stop product counterfeiting, reduce risk to consumers and protect brand owners’ revenue.

Since Authentic Vision’s founding, Thomas has grown the startup into a company that develops and offers product tagging and software solutions to secure organizations’ global supply chains and distribution channels by bridging the physical product to digital monitoring, data analysis, and customer communication capabilities. Under Thomas’ leadership, Authentic Vision has secured 29 patents and attracted a global client base.

Thomas also serves as a senior technology advisor to startups at Silicon Castles, a strategic business accelerator for startups in Europe. In this work, Thomas coaches entrepreneurs on transforming ideas into intellectual property and scalable products, while mentoring emerging leaders and teams to become top performers.

Additionally, Thomas is a visiting lecturer in internet protocols and services, cryptology and IT-security management at Salzburg University of Applied Sciences.

Prior to founding Authentic Vision, Thomas had worked in product management, sales and research.

Thomas earned a Master of Science in IT-management and a Master of Science in computer science from Salzburg University of Applied Sciences.

Johann Sulzenbacher

… including Accounting and Financial Controlling/Reporting as well as Investor Relations and Treasury Management.

Johann is a passionate leader with more than 20 years of experience in finance, controlling, and operations. Before joining Authentic Vision, he managed all financial and operational aspects of the Austrian Broadcasting Corporation (ORF) Branch in Salzburg. He formulated annual strategies, set budgets, and defined and implemented all operations and HR policies. Besides that, he has also held various other financial positions at ORF, where he was a financial manager for the ORF3 television station and the TV show Good Morning Austria, as well as the financial manager of a major restructuring project.

Johann finished his studies in communication science and law and economics in Salzburg and his Executive MBA in Lausanne.

These efforts set the foundation for the company to create tagging and software solutions that stop product counterfeiting, reduce risk to consumers and protect brand owners’ revenue.

Thomas leads the Research and Development team in developing and overseeing the company’s security technology stack. His particular focus has been on Computer Vision and data analysis.

Additionally, Thomas manages Authentic Vision’s intellectual property. The company currently holds 37 patents.

Previously, Thomas had been a solution designer and full-stack developer for GFI Elektronik, which specializes in customized LED technology projects. In this role, he handled strategy and implementation of systems with a focus on PCB-design, firmware for micro-controllers, embedded data processing, and telemetric hardware diagnostics. His work included serving as a key developer and development lead for assignments in North Africa, the Middle East, and Europe.

Thomas earned a Master of Science in Applied Image and Signal Processing through the international joint degree program at the University of Salzburg / Salzburg University of Applied Sciences. During his studies, he focused on Biometric Systems, especially Iris recognition, and published several papers on this topic.

Thomas is also engaged as an External Lecturer for Media Informatics at the Salzburg University of Applied Sciences.

Since 2014 he has been responsible for product at Authentic Vision. Prior to that, he has held roles in sales, product, marketing and strategy at companies such as Siemens, RealNetworks and Device Insight.

He earned a Masters in International Management from CEMS and MSc in Business Administration from the Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus University.

Michael’s functional responsibilities include sales, business development, marketing and customer success for the Label as a Key business.

Michael is an accomplished leader with more than 20 years of experience in information technology. Prior to joining Authentic Vision, Michael was Executive Vice President Customer Services at Crealogix, a leading Fintech company focusing on online/mobile banking solutions. At Crealogix, he was responsible for the P&L for the company’s services business.

At Basware GmbH where Michael spent 11 years optimizing Purchase to Pay processes for customers, he developed into different professional services leadership roles ending up becoming Vice President for Technical Services.

He earned a Master Degree (Dipl. Inf.) in Informatics and Electrical Engineering from the Technical University of Munich.

Jeremey Stillman

… and document management industries. Following a degree in Business & Marketing, he began his career working for major Japanese multinationals, spearheading the growth of digital solutions to both government and enterprise corporate clients.

In the past decade Jeremy has been a key contributor in the formation of new business strategies focused on enterprise brand protection and government revenue solutions. Concentrating on how innovation focused on digital twin security solutions can increase customer revenues and government tax and excise, enabling.
As the Chief Business Officer – Brand Protection for Authentic Vision, Jeremy is responsible for the brand protection and license compliance activities, supporting global brand owners and international governments to eliminate the impacts of illicit trade in providing anti-counterfeit, anti-diversion and consumer engagement solutions, supporting both direct and indirect channels to market.
